B&B POLICIES

Arrival & Departure:

Check-in is from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. If you are able to arrive earlier than 3:00 PM, please stop by or call and we will see if your room is ready. If it’s not, maybe we can help you pick an afternoon activity or a place for lunch. Prior arrangements can be made for guests arriving after 6:00 PM.
On the day you check out, you are welcome to spend as much time as you like in the living room, dining room, backyard or on the porch, but we do need time to get your room ready for our next guest. Check-out is 11:00 AM.

Deposits & Cancellations:

A one night deposit is required at the time the reservation is made for all stays. One night stays are required to be paid in full at the time the reservation is made. Reservations are confirmed upon receipt of deposit. The balance of your reservation is due upon arrival. Rates are subject to a 9% Maine state lodging tax.
As we are a very small B&B, cancellations affect us greatly. If you find it necessary to cancel, shorten or reschedule your reservation, you may do so up to 14 days before your arrival and still receive a refund of your deposit, less a $25 credit card processing fee. If you need to alter your reservation less than 14 days prior to your arrival, you are responsible for the full value of your reservation, including your unpaid balance. Refunds will be given based on our ability to re-rent your room.

Children, Pets & Smoking:

All rates assume double occupancy, as each of our rooms can only accommodate two people. Children are always welcome at the Saltair Inn, but it will be necessary for families traveling with more than two people (of any age) to reserve multiple rooms. One person in each room must be at least 18 years old.
We do have a dog friendly room. Please call in advance to inquire about availability.
For the comfort of all guests, Canterbury Suites is a smoke-free establishment including no smoking on the balconies or in the outdoor areas.
